  20. Installation:
  21.  
  22. Copy the Holiday Lights file to a directory of your choice.  To run
  23. the program, you may install the icon to the Program Manager
  24. (using the File|New menu option) or you may double-click on the
  25. file (LIGHTS.EXE) from File Manager.  The lights will be hung
  26. from the top of the Windows desktop and an icon will be placed
  27. on the desktop.  To change the xmas lights options, simply
  28. double-click on the icon at the bottom of the screen.

  31. Settings:

  34. Flashing Mode:
  35. ==============
  36. None:         Select this to leave lights on (no flashing).
  37. Random:       This allows lights to flash independently.
  38. All At Once:  All lights flash on and off at the same time.
  39. Chase:        Lights "chase" each other.
  40. Alternating:  Every other light in the string is on at the same time.
  41.  
  42. Bulbs:
  43. ======
  44. Check these options to simulate real-world burnt-out and broken light bulbs.
  45. You may also select the bulb type from the combobox.  Note that the broken
  46. option only works with the normal bulb type.
  47.  
  48. Flash Rate:
  49. ===========
  50. Selects the speed at which the lights flash.
  51.  
  52. Color:
  53. ======
  54. Selects the colors of the light bulbs.  The first option allows random
  55. colors for each light.  The last two options allow red & green or
  56. multi-colored light sets.  You may also select the options which use
  57. the same color bulb for the entire string of lights.
  58.  
  59. Power:
  60. ======
  61. Turns the lights on/off.
  62.  
  63. Pressing the "Help" pushbutton on the settings dialog to show this
  64. information.
